Nclex Rn: The secret To Correctly Answering The Difficult Ncsbn Nclex Questions

--5Th Grade Math Book of Nclex Rn: The secret To Correctly Answering The Difficult Ncsbn Nclex Questions--

the full report Nclex Rn: The secret To Correctly Answering The Difficult Ncsbn Nclex Questions

The Nclex test is difficult to ensure that nurses who get their license to convention are competent to do their job. For this reason, the questions in the Nclex exam are commonly difficult and complex. There are times you will not totally understand the question. Other times you will feel that roughly all of the choices are correct. You become confuse with the complexity of the Nclex test questions.

Nclex Rn: The secret To Correctly Answering The Difficult Ncsbn Nclex Questions

Such is the downside of the Nclex exam. However, as I have mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the Nclex exam is difficult for a purpose. This is to make sure that those who pass the test are qualified to convention as nurses in the United States. This is the only systematic formula to compare either one is competent as a licensed nurse. It is prominent that every licensed nurse is highly competent. This is to ensure the patients that they are in good hands. Nobody wants to be tended to by an incompetent and unqualified medical professional.

It is a fact that a lot of population aspiring to be nurses in America came from other countries. More often than not, English is not their mom tongue. This makes it more difficult for them to pass the Nclex test. Are you one of them? If you are, there is no need to fret. I am here to walk you through a underground in helping you pass the Ncsbn Nclex exam.

A key element in passing the Nclex exam is knowing how to read well. This is to help you comprehend the complex questions you might encounter. Furthermore, you must at least be competent sufficient to handle a wide range of medical situations. If you are a nurse, you might be assigned to a lot of departments. Some of these are the Er, Surgery, Cardio, Oncology, and Pediatrics departments. There is no way for you to know what particular branch you will be a part of. For this reason, you need to be competent sufficient in all of these.

How To Out-Smart The Ncsbn

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. Or the Ncsbn is the one responsible for designing the Nclex exam. Their main goal is to compare your competency in the broad field of nursing. The Ncsbn wants to ensure that you are ready to handle any situation. You might want to work in a particular field of nursing. However, this does not mean you will work there. For example, you might want to work in the Er but you might be assigned in the Pediatrics. The medical staffing is unpredictable. You might end up being a floater in a hospital. This means you will fill in for lack of personnel in varied departments as needed.

The Ncsbn does not want to know if you read the book. Instead, they want to know is if you understand the requirements of your job. They also want to learn if you can make pro judgment that fits your job as a nurse.

The Nclex is strategically found to be a filter system. You might wonder what filter system I am pertaining to. Well, this is rather very simple. The high level of difficulty of the Nclex exam s what makes it a great filter system. It weeds out test takers who might have just cheated through nursing school. It also gets rid of those who lack the competency to do their job as a nurse.

As a nurse, you are staggering to do a medical job. This means you need to be competent in order not to jeopardize the lives of your patients. This is where the Nclex test comes in.

However, there is a big issue linked to the Us nurse licensing process that is being overlooked. This big issue is language. There are a lot of nurses that come from other countries. Are you one of them? English might not be your first language. Sometimes, it is not even your second language. However, you may be more than competent sufficient to be a nurse. Unfortunately, this does not matter if you fail the Nclex test.

The Nclex Is Difficult And That Is A Fact!

The biggest problem that any test taker has with the Nclex test aside from test anxiety is a lack of English language skills. If you are not fluent in the English language, you will have a hard time insight the questions in the Nclex test. If this is the case, you will have an even harder time answering them.

Some questions in the Nclex exam will be asked a estimate of times in distinct ways. This can generate confusion on your part. More often than not, this happens twice. One pertains to a high level of difficulty. Then it is rephrased to a inquire with lower complexity. It could also be the other way around. In any case, you can experience this if you take the Nclex test.

All of us have hit the wall right at the start. The occasion we start taking the test, we begin to wonder if we are taking the right exam. The first inquire just seems to take us by surprise with its high level of difficulty. You might have prepared well for the Nclex exam but this can still be not enough.

Are you wondering what the problem is? I am sure you are.

I can tell you that most of the time, you find a inquire is difficult because you as a matter of fact did not understand it. There is a underground intent behind each Nclex question. You have to take this to heart. This is a great way of getting to rejoinder the inquire correctly. The Nclex test maker created each inquire with a purpose. He wants to know something that is very specific. You have to form out what the test maker wants to find out.

There is only one productive way to accomplish this. It is to fully understand the question. There are some underground steps which I can share with you to help you understand what you read. I am sure that at this point, you are as a matter of fact excited to find out what these underground steps are. One of them is to read the questions out loud. You need to read the questions loud in order to have a great grasp of what it means. Reading something aloud helps you understand something better.

You Will Only become A Licensed Nurse If You Pass The Nclex Test... There Is No Other Way...

If you have already practiced as a nurse in other countries, you might be especially frustrated if you fail the Nclex. In fact, you will more likely fail if you take any exam with high level English as its language. Even with years of experience and broad knowledge of nursing, you will find it highly difficult to pass the Nclex if you are not fluent in English. You might learn a new language by constantly speaking it. On the other hand, you can also learn through writing. The later is especially true in Asian countries. If you come from an Asian country, you might have learned English as a written language. You could have spent exiguous time trying to learn to be fluent in verbal English.

If you failed the Nclex test before, it could be because of test anxiety. However, if you took care of your test anxiety, then the problem is something deeper. It could be your lack of fluency in English.

Understand The inquire To rejoinder It Correctly

How

Do you speak English well but do not read it much? Then you need to read the inquire aloud. This may sound rather silly but this is as a matter of fact helpful. You can laugh all you want at population who move their lips when they read. But at the end of the day, this is an productive way to great grasp the meaning of what you are reading. This can help you pass the Nclex test.

When we were young, we were not good in English as we are now. Perhaps you might have read sentences out loud when you were young. It might not be until you were in 5th grade that you learned to read in your head, right? I can assure you that reading aloud the Nclex questions can help you pass the Nclex. This is especially true if you are having a difficult time insight a question. Your vocation depends on passing the Nclex. So don't be shy about reading the questions aloud. After all, what matters is the passing score you will get.

When you say something and as a matter of fact hear it, you can as a matter of fact understand it in a clearer way. So go and read aloud the questions to help you rejoinder them correctly.

Take Note Of Words You Are Not Sure Of

If English is not your first language, there will be a time you will encounter an English word that you do not as a matter of fact understand. In this case, it is best to take note of this word. So how can you learn its meaning? I advise you buy a thesaurus. But not a cheap one you can purchase at Walmart. Make a sound investment with a great thesaurus. A lot of them are being sold at less than . You can also go to Dictionary.com to consult its online thesaurus.

Once you have a trustworthy thesaurus, you can check out the meanings of each English word that you do not understand.

Skip The inquire And Read The Answers First

Another way to help you rejoinder the Nclex questions correctly is to do the opposite. Instead of reading the inquire first, go directly to the answers. Read them aloud to great understand them if you must. As you read the answers, this can give you some clues as to what the inquire is seeing for. By the time you read the question, you already have an idea about what the inquire wants to find out. You can also get clues in the question. You can merge the clues you get to make a sound judgment on your choice of answer.

Tips When studying For The Nclex

1. Choose a broad study guide or one test inquire bank.

2. Read the answers aloud. This helps if you are down to two choices that are likely to be the spoton answer.

3. Read each inquire out loud. This can help you great grasp the meaning of the question.

4. Ask the help of person who speaks fluent English to read the questions To you. Having person read the questions to you can help you in insight them. You can even go along as they read the question.

5. Never skip words you do not understand. Instead, read the inquire again if you did not understand it the first time.

6. Punctuations can make a big difference when you read. A comma indicates a pause. It can change the whole context of a statement depending on where it is placed. A sentence is not just a series of words. It is an idea. And that idea can as a matter of fact change if you ignore punctuations.
Take a look at the following examples to understand the significance of punctuations.
• Jade eats shoots and leaves. (Jade is a vegetarian who eats leaves and shoots.)
• Jade eats, shoots, and leaves. (You did pause at the commas, didn't you? This conveys a distinct message from the first sentence.)

Tips When Taking The Nclex Test
1. Focus on the inquire at hand. Do not get overly excited to analyze the next inquire while you are answering the current one. Similarly, do not divide your attentiveness between answering the inquire at hand and counting how many questions you have already answered.

2. Read the answers. You can pick up clues with regard to what the inquire is all about.

3. Read the question. Say it out loud but quietly if you have to. This can help you great understand the question. Just make sure you pay attentiveness to punctuations.

4. As soon as you spot an rejoinder that is very unlikely to be correct, eliminate it right away.

5. If you are down to a few choices, analyze their correctness against the question. Do not rush in doing this. Similarly, do not overanalyze.

Once you are done with the aforementioned 5 steps, move on. You have already given your best in answering the question.

Is Your Goal To become A Licensed pro Nurse Or A Nurses' Aide?

The Two What Ifs...

What if you learn to great understand the questions?

I can assure you that you will have an easier time answering the questions if you great understand them. You will know this in the first few questions when you take the Nclex test. If you were able to rejoinder the questions easily, then you are on the right track. Just fantasize seeing at the time and seeing that only 10 minutes have passed... And you are already done answering the first 5 questions!

Imagine covering your mouth to read the questions while attractive your lips. fantasize ignoring the other test takers as you do this to help you great understand the question. Then fantasize how easy it is for you to rejoinder the questions because you understood them well.

But what happens if you don't?

I am distinct that there is a big chance is you will fail the Nclex test. But on the attractive side, you can finally pass this exam. It is a fact that you will improve on your scores when you take a test over and over again. The only downside of passing this way is that it takes a lot of time and is also expensive.

Inattentive ADHD - Consider Medication

Inattentive ADHD - Consider Medication

I know, I know. The issue of whether or not to use medication as a primary treatment for children with ADHD is a controversial and emotional one. Many parents of ADHD kids are adamantly opposed to the idea of drugs and refuse to even consider it as an option Sadly, there are those that are contemptuous, judgmental, and at times, downright hostile to those parents that do choose to treat their child's ADHD symptoms with medication. But despite public anxiety over the treatment of a behavioral condition with drugs, doctors have continued to prescribe stimulant medications...and parents have continued to use them to help their children... because - quite simply - they work better than anything else. The disadvantages are possible side effects (which could be "jitteriness", loss of appetite, tummy aches, or headaches)...and the temporary nature of medication. If you stop using it you forfeit the benefit or gains.

Inattentive ADHD - Consider Medication

Commonly Prescribed ADHD Medication and How it Works.

The most preferred ADHD drugs are stimulants. The most common of these are Adderall, Ritalin, Daytrana, Dexedrine, and Concerta. Long acting stimulants like Concerta are taken once a day, and employ a time release delivery throughout an 8 to 12 hour period. Some practical advantages are that it maintains smooth and consistent levels of medication all day...eliminates the need to take a pill at school...and is usually still in effect while homework is being done. Interestingly, stimulants are used to treat both Hyperactive and Inattentive ADHD.

Stimulants are used in small amounts and in the brain they increase the levels of dopamine and norepinephrine. In particular, additional norepinephrine may help to increase attention, while dopamine may promote calm. It's also been discovered that these drugs tend to work most in the prefrontal cortex of the brain, which is an area of the brain thought connected to attention and to things like impulsivity. Important research suggests that knowing the area of the brain in which ADHD drugs work might be used to customize drugs that treat ADHD better. Be prepared that sometimes, it may take some trial and error to find the medication and dose that works best for your child.

There are other medications that are not stimulants that can be used as ADHD drugs. The most common of these is atomoxetene, sold under thebrand name Strattera. Atomoxetene was originally created to work as an antidepressant, and this information helps to explain how it works. Instead of creating more norepinephrine, it blocks absorption or reuptake of norepinephrine. This leaves more available in the brain to help improve attention and focus. However, it also has been associated with psychotic and highly suicidal reactions in a number of children and organizations like the Food and Drug Administration require a black box warning on it. This doesn't mean that ADHD drugs like atomoxetene aren't useful, but you do have to be extremely careful when weighing the risks of using this drug. There are some other options that have been prescribed for ADHD, such as the anti-depressant Wellbutrin. But stimulants are usually the first line of defense and the most frequently chosen ADHD medication.

Why I Decided to Try Medication for my Son's ADHD.

At first, I, like a lot of parents, was highly resistant to our pediatrician's suggestion that we try treating my son's Inattentive ADHD with meds. I just really didn't like the idea of putting my son on drugs every day. I felt surely, there must be a better way to beat this. I researched and tried, every other feasible option, but saw no significant change. Despite our best efforts, we just couldn't seem to get a handle on this thing, while my son continued to struggle and slide downhill. Then two events forced me to reconsider.

For the first time, when they called Gabriel's name at his school's honor assembly, he received not one academic award, and was the only one in his class to leave the stage empty handed. He was humiliated and devastated. Then he had to go back to his classroom where all the other kids were celebrating, comparing awards, and unkindly teasing him (when the teacher wasn't looking) which, of course, made him feel even worse. Trying not to cry, and with his head hung low, this 3rd grader, my baby, looked beaten. It was as though all the air had been sucked out of him. I tried to cheer him up, but when I got outside the school I burst into tears and cried for a long time.

I made up mind then and there that drastic action was called for. In addition, I felt increasing pressure to find a solution because Gabriel's statewide CRCT exam was fast approaching and if he didn't pass he would be held back. This I had to prevent, come hell or high water, as I knew it would absolutely wipe out what little confidence and self esteem he had left. I had to try something different and I had to do it fast. So, reluctantly, I called his doctor and revisited the idea of treating Gabriel's Inattentive ADHD with medication. I asked myself, how could I continue to refuse to even try something that could dramatically improve Gabriel's life? If it didn't work... or if it proved harmful...I was in control and would stop it immediately. But what if it worked? When looked at that way I was willing to take a chance.

Did Medication Help or Hurt my Son?

After much deliberation, research and soul searching we decided to start Gabriel on the lowest possible dose (27 mg) of the long action stimulant drug, Concerta. He took it just once a day, in the morning, but only on school days, not on weekends or vacation. He experienced no side effects. Within two weeks I began to see noticeable improvement. It was working. A small dose of medication has made all the difference in the world.

Now, he completed most of his homework in his afterschool program before I picked him up. Whatever he had left to finish at home he did independently and in half the time. When asked a question, he no longer gave me a blank stare or a yawn in response. When I checked his homework and pointed out a mistake, he maintained a positive attitude, and fixed it quickly, by himself. If he needed help with something, he could grasp and remember what had been explained to him and he could apply it correctly. He remembered his multiplication tables. Even his handwriting improved.

He did extra practice at home for his CRCT. He wasn't thrilled, but he made an honest effort. He still didn't like to read for pleasure, but would read what was required for homework with much better comprehension. He passed his CRCT. He was promoted to 4th grade. In 4th grade he made honor roll both semesters, though in some classes (especially math) his grades could vary wildly from a 60 to a 100 on class work and tests. Amazingly, this time he didn't just barely pass his CRCT-he did well!! And now, in the first months of 5th grade, he is Citizen of the Month, pays attention and participates in class, is earning consistent good grades, and received three As and a B on his first Progress Report Card.

I Offer my Experience as Evidence of what is Possible for Your Child.

I tell you this not to be smug, brag or boast, although I am proud of what my son has achieved. I share this because I want you to know there is hope and there is help available for your child. No parent takes the decision to medicate their child lightly. But knowing what has actually worked, or not worked, for someone in your same situation cuts the learning curve, reduces the fear factor, and gives you ideas that you can build on. Meds may not be the way to go for everyone. I just know that, despite my fears, and my husband's reservations, they helped turn it around for my son, with hardly any downside.

Does he love school now? Not really. Does he enjoy homework? No. Does it all come easy? No. But success breeds more success and boosts confidence. He now believes he is as smart as the next guy and can do it if he tries. I realize everyone's experience is different, but I am confident now that this was the right decision for my son and might possibly be the answer for your child too. There is no doubt in my mind that Concerta... along with a few simple classroom accommodations... and a lot of hard work and support at home...is what helped my son bounce back from Inattentive ADHD, and was the key to finally unlocking his true potential.

I hope this article has been helpful and informative. And that something you have read here will inspire you to further investigate an option that you may not have previously known about, or considered, for your child. For more information try ADHD parent forums, or CHADD, Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Good Luck and God Bless.

Pure Discipline

General George S. Patton was born on November 11, 1885 on his fathers ranch and vineyard in Los Angeles County over what is today the city of Pasadena and much of the UCLA campus. Early in life he was small and weak, but raw determination and drive built up body day-by-day, piece-by-piece.

Pure Discipline

As a small boy, he delighted in his father's stories about his family's strong military lineage. He had a great uncle who was wounded at Second Bull Run, and ultimately lost his life at Pickett's Charge during the battle of Gettysburg and a grandfather who was killed in the Third Battle of Winchester.

It was clear George was intelligent, but he had a very tough time learning to read and write. The result was George being pulled out of school and the beginning of his home education. Whether this was done for George's sake, or out of the embarrassment of his parents is unknown. George's learning difficulties included problems with reading, writing, spelling and overall concentration. Due to these struggles with education, George battled feelings of inferiority. George S. Patton, soon to be one the greatest generals in the history of warfare had dyslexia.

Despite his struggles with this ailment that was yet to be classified, he became an avid reader of military history especially warfare. His writing's even into adulthood were full of spelling errors. His challenges with expression forced him to develop the communication skill of being able to precisely describe a situation or message in incredibly vivid detail, but in simple and understandable terms.

He decided to take on another challenge and enroll at the Virginia Military Institute for a year in preparation for an opportunity at entering West Point Academy. His objective was fulfilled in 1904 when he was accepted. His academic struggle continued. Plagued with failing math grades, he was forced to repeat part of his first year. Nonetheless, discipline dictated that he struggle on.

He compensated for is academic shortcomings by focusing on his physical side and continuing to build his body. In 1912 he competed on the U.S. pentathlon team, which included a 300-meter swim, pistol-shoot, a 4000-meter run, fencing, and a 5000-meter steeplechase. His team came in 5th, but his ability to exploit an opponent's weakness in fencing brought about his recognition in Swedish newspapers. His boundless energy became a common descriptor of his character.

His extraordinary swordsmanship allowed him to attend a Calvary school in France, and then the Mounted Service School at Fort Riley, Kansas in 1913. There he eventually became an instructor and was appointed Master of the Sword.

With his ultimate desire to do battle, he took up arms in an expedition against Mexico's legendary outlaw, Pancho Villa. The United States attempted to engage Villa after he was involved in the execution of over 15 Americans and an attack on a New Mexico city. While Pancho Villa continued to evade capture, there were enough skirmishes with Villa's followers to provide Patton an opportunity to demonstrate his leadership ability. This ability earned Patton the promotion to captain in 1917.

In April of the same year, the United States entered the World War I. This was Patton's opportunity for real combat. His first contribution to the initiative was to become the first officer to receive tank training. Soon after he completed his own training, he was asked to set up the AEF tank school in France ultimately leading the First Tank Brigade into battle. After several other battles, he returned to the US in1919 where he was promoted to major and given command of the 304th Tank Brigade at Fort Meade.

Soon after, he attended the Command and General Staff School with honors in 1923, and then attended the Army War College in 1932. During this time frame he was appointed to the army's general staff in 1927, chief of cavalry in 1928, and achieved the rank of lieutenant colonel in 1934 and finally colonel in 1937. In 1940 he took command of the Second Armored Brigade. His next step was the promotion to temporary brigadier general, then major general, and then was given finally given command of the Second Armored Division in 1941.

Patton, metaphorically speaking, was all dressed up with no place to go. This was all about to change with the emergence of another war that would consume the entire world. With war looming, the US began to conduct a series of war games in which Patton proved his tactical, and leadership superiority and received the attention of his superiors. To Patton's disappointment, his performance did not land him on the front line in preparation for the greatest of wars, but instead landed him in command of creating a Desert Training Center. Before the Nazi's were to be engaged in Europe, they were to be engaged in North Africa and it was Patton's job to ensure that the United States was prepared for desert war.

Patton's first taste of World War II combat came during operation TORCH, which was the landing of the first U.S. troops in North Africa. After a stunning U.S. defeat at Kasserine Pass, Patton was sent in to ensure the success of the II Corp's.

Upon his arrival at II Corp headquarters, he immediately identified the problem as lack of leadership, and discipline. The troops were disheveled, un-kept, and represented a dull edge as opposed to a razor sharp combat unit. One of his first command decisions was the enforcement of regulation uniforms, including the wearing of neckties, leggings, and helmets. The objective was to ensure that each time a solider knotted his tie, put on their leggings, or buckled their helmets; they would be reminded that the days of Kasserine Pass and defeat were over.

In a remarkably short time, Patton transformed the II Corps into a world-class fighting force. The daily discipline of dress was a part of Patton's belief in consistency and a solid daily routine. His troops at first resented such treatment, but then it became a token of pride. Patton's troops looked different than the other units and soon they began to act different as well. Patton learned that when his troops were off hour, or going into town that they were taking off their neckties and dressing down. Patton soon issued a directive that any officer would be court-martialed if they had two incidents of their subordinates not adhering to dress code. He set an expectation and expected his people to follow it.

Patton took over the Seventh Army and drove this organization to successfully liberate Sicily. From there, Patton was given command of the Third Army, which was stationed in Calais as a decoy for the Normandy invasion. Germany knew that Patton was a force not to be taken lightly. Seeing Patton positioned in Calais, they immediately redeployed their forces in preparation for an attack that would never come.

After Normandy was opened up after the D-Day invasion, Patton's Third Army swept across Europe unprecedented in terms of ground liberated or captured, the distance covered, and speed of execution. To further add to his legacy and that of the Third Army, he turned his half-million man army around to march north to Bastogne where a surprise German offensive had pinned down the 101st Airborne nearly derailing the invasion.

With Germany's surrender, Patton was assigned as the military governor of Bavaria. After a few more politically incorrect statements, Patton was relieved of his command of the Third Army and placed in charge of the group that's chief objective was to compile a history of the war. That was his final position in Europe until he was killed. Patton didn't die a hero's death, but rather was thrown out of his vehicle on a road near Mannheim on December 9.

Patton believed that the lack of discipline for an officer or for an army was equivalent to committing murder. He understood that attention to detail wasn't just for success; it was for survival. While decisions in the modern business environment might not cost you your life, it could cost you your livelihood.

Brainteaser Questions - Unlocking the Mysteries of the Interview Puzzle

Brainteaser Questions - Unlocking the Mysteries of the Interview Puzzle

When it comes to preparing for job interviews, you've done your homework and brushed up on your interview answers. You feel like you're extremely prepared for whatever the employer is going to throw at you. That is, until you are hit with an oddball question that seems to have no relation to whether or not you'd be good at a particular job.

Brainteaser Questions - Unlocking the Mysteries of the Interview Puzzle

Welcome to the wacky world of the brainteaser question. Brainteaser or puzzle questions are used in a small percentage of interviews and tend to be used for more technical jobs in general. However, you never know when an employer is going to throw one into the mix for kicks and giggles.

No matter how you feel personally about these types of questions, if you want to be considered for the job, you'll need to answer it. Some brainteasers seem simple while others appear more complex. Think of those mathematical word questions you used to get in grade school.

Are you smarter than a 5th grader?

I hope so.

What does a brainteaser question look like? Here's some examples:

- How many golf balls does it take to fill up a school bus?
- How do you get a manhole cover to go inside the hole?
- You wake up one morning and there's been a power outage. You know you have 12 black socks and 8 blue ones. How many socks do you need to pull out before you get a match?
- An islands chameleons are divided into three groups: 13 red chameleons, 15 green chameleons and 17 blue chameleons. Each time two chameleons meet, they change their color to the third one. Is it possible for all the chameleons to become the same color? Why or why not?

The purpose of brainteaser questions

Even though it may seem like it, employers aren't trying to make a candidate look dumb or are being malicious when they ask you this type of question. Their purpose is to see how each candidate processes a challenging situation.

Sure, these types of questions won't be a part of your daily job if hired, but you will be faced with challenging issues that pop up. The employer is curious about how you'll handle things when that happens.

How to react to a brainteaser question

You may be unprepared for the question, but once it's out there you have to handle it. You shouldn't just scratch your head and stare blankly at the employer. You also shouldn't wrinkle your brow and refuse to answer the question on grounds that it's irrelevant.

To buy yourself some time, one thing you can do is ask the interviewer to repeat the question. You can repeat it out loud to make sure you've heard it right. You can also take a moment to write the question down and think on it a bit. Let the interviewer know that you need a little time to ponder.

Be interactive

Believe it or not, employers don't mind if you include them in your problem solving. Instead of silently going over each possibility, think your answer out loud. The interviewer wants to hear how your brain works.

If you need help, ask them for a hint. Once they give you a hint, continue to work it through to the best of your abilities. Once you've committed to an answer you think is right, be decisive and stay with it to the end. Some of these questions have multiple answers, so it's more important that you appear confident. If you're totally stumped, admit it to the interviewer and ask for the answer. As long as you've showed the employer that you've got a healthy sense of curiosity, you're still in the mix for the job.

Keep it simple but ignore the obvious

If the answer is too obvious then it's not correct. Brainteasers are supposed to make you think for a while, so that glaringly simple solution is most likely wrong. However, all of these puzzles have some logic to them and shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to solve.

Most puzzles can be solved with simple math. If you're reaching for your calculus equations, you're making it too hard.

- Start from the end
- Working your way backwards to get to an answer can be a quicker way to come up with a solution.
- Be unique

If you feel you can't come up with a right answer, then come up with something totally unique. At the very least, you'll stand out from the crowd.
